We stopped here on a gay bar crawl of nyc. Definitely a smaller scene and it was hard to see the drag queens because the stage was low to the ground and it was basically just a crowd of people standing and watching so people were blocking the view but !!! The queens were great and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves :) space restrictions in nyc are everywhere though so I’m glad they still host the shows. Met by security at the door for safety measures and they took photos of us and our IDs for extra safety. Was informed that our photos would be deleted in 90 days should we stay on our best behavior lol. Nice place!
This place is so fun! Door man is always friendly and bar staff is attentive. Crowd is mixed and I think inclusive, though it definitely leans younger because of NYU proximity. Really fun music and drag shows though, have heard songs here that I never expected to hear at a your typical club.
It's a great place for watching a show (and there are good shows here), but I don't understand why the drinks here were much more expensive than other bars in this area (same drink , same evening for example) and why the bartender was not nice to say the least and with full attitude. Again, not as I experienced at other bars in this area.
The guy at the front was much nicer than him. It's kinda of a basement and if there are other options I don't see a reason to come back here. I'll come back only if one of my friends is showing.
first time at a gay bar and it was really fun. drag performances were funny, animated, and entertaining. bathrooms are cleaner than i expected, but be prepared to wait in line as there are only 6 stalls. as for drinks, i payed $11 for a rum and coke.
Servers can be incredibly rude and sound system is busted way too loud and crunchy sounding, go to another bar if you want to actually have fun and hear the music! 👎👎👎👎
- great fun
- amaizing The Assassins draq show
- no mastercard payment :(
First Drag Show & music = very good. 2nd one not so good, dj did zero engagement w crowd (stared at his phone) & the performers didn’t dance, just twerked. Servers did ZERO to serve, you had to ask them for help. After I paid & left, a b-tender ran after me yelling ‘you didn’t pay’ I told him I had. This was after also giving a sizable tip to the performers of the 1st show. I won’t return. Bartenders absolutely sucked and gave no service at all.
We totally had a great time there and the performance kept us laughing throughout the night!
